Shanda is a Senior Field Representative for Oceana in Belize. In this role, she leads community outreach initiatives, facilitates advocacy and education programs, and works closely with fishers, youth, and community leaders to strengthen marine conservation efforts.

Shanda holds an associate degree in Business Management and Tourism from Independence Junior College and has over eight years of experience in environmental advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and community organizing.

Originally from Independence Village in the Stann Creek District, Shanda enjoys spending time on the waters along Belize’s southern coast and quality time with her family.

Fun Fact: Her face says what her mouth won’t.
