Born in San Pedro Town on Ambergris Caye, Kelsie grew up with a deep appreciation for the ocean and the natural beauty that surrounds Belize. Her studies in Natural Resource Management at the University of Belize further strengthened her passion for protecting the country’s rich marine and coastal resources.

Kelsie began volunteering with Oceana as a Wavemaker in 2014 and officially joined the team in May 2016 as an Administrative/Executive Assistant. After earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, she advanced to her current role as Senior Finance & Administrative Analyst. In this role, she supports the Office Administrator and Vice President with finance, accounting, and administrative operations, while also collaborating with the Communications and Outreach teams to support the organization’s strategic work.

Fun Fact: Kelsie loves staying active—she has completed three half marathons, trained in kickboxing, and now enjoys dance and functional training!
