Receptionist/Office Assistant

Oceana seeks a Receptionist/Office Assistant for our Belize office.

The Receptionist/Office Assistant will work in our office at 2358 Hibiscus Street, Belmopan and report to the Office Administrator.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:         

  • Providing daily support to the office by facilitating external communications (telephone, mail, telefax, visitors, meetings, etc.)
  • Assisting in basic administrative tasks
  • Providing support to Executive, Communications, Administrative and Outreach Department in their routine activities.

The job will be full time, with hours to be worked between 8:00 am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

Successful applicants must have:

  • At least a high school diploma
  • Relevant previous experience
  • Microsoft Office and typing skills 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent writing and phone/email communication skills

Demonstrated interest in social and environmental issues is an advantage.
